Danny Bird · Provo, Utah
Blackbird Construction is Danny Bird. He has been building since 2001, he works across Utah County out of Provo, and he is the person who shows up when you call.
Who you are hiring
Most construction companies of any size separate those three jobs. A salesperson sells it, an estimator prices it, and a project manager you have never met builds it. Every handoff is a place for something to get lost, and the person who promised it is rarely the person who has to deliver it.
Blackbird is built the other way. Danny walks the job, writes the number, and runs the work. That puts a hard ceiling on how many projects can run at once, which is the honest tradeoff. What you get for it is that nobody can tell you "that is not what I was told."
How Blackbird works
Any builder can list virtues. These are the ones with a real tradeoff attached, which is how you can tell they are actual policy.
You find out what it costs while changing it is still free. The cost to us is that the first conversation is longer and less exciting than a rendering.
You call Danny, not a queue. The cost to us is a hard limit on how many jobs can run at the same time.
You approve the number before the work happens. The cost to us is that we cannot quietly absorb a scope change and bill it later.
If the budget and the plan cannot meet, we say so instead of taking the job and value engineering it apart. The cost to us is the job.
Where Blackbird fits
Danny's own framing, and the reason the site is organized the way it is.
A custom home, a commercial space, or a multi-family project, taken from the lot to the certificate of occupancy.
Build services →Remodels, additions, basements, and outdoor space on a building that already exists. Harder than new work, which is where experience shows.
Improve services →Someone else is building it and you want a builder on your side reviewing the plans, the bids, and the change orders. We do not bid the work.
Owner's representative →What clients say
An about page is the wrong place to ask you to take our word for it. This is where past clients should be speaking instead.
No call center, no salesperson, no handoff. Tell him what you are trying to build.
